History of AHRMM • 1962 − Begins as the American Society for Hospital Purchasing Agents (ASHPA 1995 − ASHMM Annual Conference becomes so large that it is independent of the AHA convention • 2007 - AHRMM adopted a new mission statement, To Advance Healthcare Through Supply Chain Excellence • 4000 members, over 40 chapters
