  1. Community Development NGOs Faces Pakistan – Top rated NGO of Pakistan working for Disaster Management, Health, Education/Literacy, Interfaith Harmony, Peace Building, Afghan Refugees & more.

FACES Pakistan • the Formation, Awareness, and Community Empowerment Society is a non-profit organization which aims to empower the underprivileged in society and help them embrace differences in religion and culture through cross-cultural dialogue in order to facilitate collective action for sustainable development. We focus on capacity building and advocating the views of the underrepresented sectors, particularly in mixed religion communities, to achieve the broader aim of harmony, social justice and gender equality.

  3. Disaster Management FACES Pakistan in collaboration with Caritas Germany and Rescue 1122 distributed relief packages consisting of food and non-food items among 100 flood affected families in Chiniot. These packages consisted of tents, water coolers, sleeping cots and other food items to provide assistance and relief to the people in this hour of need.

  4. Interfaith Harmony A number of teams have been formed by FACES Pakistan under DRRCC and they are monitoring the flood situation and updating the information regarding the severity of disaster, number of affected people and the damages it has caused so far. 

  5. Education/Literacy NGOs After successful implementation of two phases of Health Education and Enterprise Development (HEED) project, FACES Pakistan is now entering into a final Phase out year (2014-2015). 

  6. Disaster Management In Pakistan • Hardship is nothing new to Pakistan. As Pakistan now a days is dealing with terrorism another misfortune hits Pakistan as natural disasters like cyclones, windstorms, earthquakes, floods and droughts. The top natural disasters Pakistan faced are Quetta earthquake of 1935, Balochistan earthquake in 1945, floods of 1950, East Pakistan cyclone in 1970, Kohistan (also known as Hunza) earthquake in 1974, drought in 2000, Kashmir quake in 2005, Cyclone Yemyin in 2007, Hunza Lake disaster in 2010 and floods of 2010. Those were really tough times for Pakistan and the government and in these times the NGOs are a big help. FACES (Formation Awareness & Community Empowerment Society) are one of the major names in nonprofit organizations who play a vital role if a disaster hits Pakistan. This is an organization that focuses to empower under-represented societies.

  7. Rural Development NGOs • The FACES visited the flood area recently on September 2014. They provided the victims medical facilities, medicine, food and clean water. Also the organization taught the people how to deal and how to take precautionary measures in the case of emergency. They emphasized on staying clean and tidy. The FACES have the best team of trained and well knowledge people. It is just one example of how they work with government to help the victims of the disasters in Pakistan. To face these disasters an efficient Disaster Management in Pakistan is required and no doubt FACES is playing a great role in managing the disasters and helping the government.
