What is AADP or ADP • ADP is a programme where you have been identified as the Elite junior athletes at CHS. • It is intended that you will carry on with this subject into your senior years at CHS • You are expected to move into Year 11, 12 and 13 Sport Science.
What does ADP do? • ADP is designed to: • Develop your athletic skills. • Get to know your body better. • Different types of training and how you go about this.
What does ADP cover? • ADP is a academic subject! • It is based in the classroom and we will utilise outdoor facilities if an when necessary. • Wide range of sport related subjects.
Subjects covered in ADP. • Goal Setting • Physical Preparation • Mental Skills • Biomechanics • Leadership • Nutrition • History of Sport • Skill Acquisition and Coaching • Training Logs • Technology in Sport • Ethics
My expectations of you. • This class is a privilege. • You can be removed if you do not perform. • Don’t be afraid to ask a question. It doesn’t matter if you get it wrong, that’s how we learn.
