  1. Dear Scientists, This week we will be learning about science and the scientific method. Please draw a picture of what you think a scientist looks like. Then write a short paragraph to introduce your scientist to the class.

  2. Dear Ecologists,Many animals have special features that help them survive. Can you think of a special feature one of these animals has to help them survive? Is it camouflage? Quills? Write this physical adaptation on the back of the card and bring it to Morning Meeting. We will be classifying them by adaptation.

  3. Dear Scientists and Mathematicians, What is your favorite jungle animal of the choices below on the chart. Place a Post It over the name of your favorite animal.

  4. Dear Class, Soon we will be studying about animals and researching animals. Yesterday, you wrote down your favorite animal and made a graph. Please describe the animal on the card that is on your desk. DO NOT tell anyone what it is. Tell what it eats, what it looks like, where it lives. Bring it to Morning Meeting with you.
