Findings • FLUM amendment: • Reduce development potential on parcel • No additional demand on infrastructure facilities (reduction) • Protect environmental quality on parcel • Zoning Map Amendment: • “Preservation” designation is consistent with Comprehensive Plan designation of “Conservation” • Consistent with Comprehensive Plan Objective 1.9.1 which reads: “Future development of the Neoga Lakes property shall provide for the protection of environmentally sensitive areas and unique natural habitats”
Recommendation • Staff recommends that the Planning and Land Development Regulation Board recommend that the City Council APPROVE the proposed Future Land Use Map Amendmentand the companion Zoning Map Amendment for the 32 acre subject parcel.
