Recommendation • Staff and the Planning and Land Development Regulation Board recommend that the City Council APPROVE the proposed amendment at first reading (Transmittal Public Hearing). • The Amendment will be reviewed by State Agencies and comments provided to City in 30 days. • Adoption Public Hearing will be scheduled after addressing comments.

Findings • FLUM amendment: • Reduce development potential on parcel • No additional demand on infrastructure facilities (reduction) • Protect environmental quality on parcel • Zoning Map Amendment: • “Preservation” designation is consistent with Comprehensive Plan designation of “Conservation” • Consistent with Comprehensive Plan Objective 1.9.1 which reads: “Future development of the Neoga Lakes property shall provide for the protection of environmentally sensitive areas and unique natural habitats”
Recommendation/Next Steps • Staff and PLDRB recommend that the City Council APPROVE the proposed Future Land Use Map Amendmentat first reading (Transmittal Public Hearing) • The Amendment will be reviewed by State Agencies and comments will be provided to City in 30 days. • Adoption Public Hearing will be scheduled after addressing comments. • Staff and PLDRB recommend that the City Council APPROVE the companion Zoning Map Amendment • This Amendment will be scheduled for second reading at the same time as FLUM amendment.
