E N D
Agenda & Goals • Surfacing common and difficult questions • Discussion of how to approach questions with participants • Resources and support for you as a Core Coach • A few notes on facilitation • “Follow up” document
At your tables • Take 5 minutes to discuss: • What do you think will be the most frequently asked questions this summer? • What is the question you are most nervous about answering?
A few notes on tough questions - • Your role is not to be a source of information for the State nor a defender of our decisions • Maintain your stance as a peer • Be on the same team as your audience • Your role is not to answer every question • Get participants in the conversation • Deflect and have strategies to table questions
Resources for answering tough questions - • Use your audience • Parking lot • tncore.questions@tn.gov • Fact sheet and FAQ documents • Site leads
As a group - • Anticipated frequently asked questions? • Most difficult questions?
Communications with our team - • We will refresh the math FAQ document throughout summer training based on what you are hearing in your sessions • Please compile questions from your sessions and email them to Emily (Emily.Barton@tn.gov) with [APPLE] in the subject line at the end of each day?
Follow Up Documents • Designed to be food for thought for district and school leaders • An opportunity for Coaches to shape how training will roll-out to all teachers and for ongoing support and resources • In addition to the document, consider: are there any sections of the summer training you think we should consider capturing on video?
