Aproved PLAN FOR 2011 • Assist and to advise Region 10 Director and Regional Committee and New Sectios when and where needed • Continue Push for Globalisation of IEEE and a better representation of R10 • Assist increasing Nominations for IEEE Boards and Committee • A Visit and IEEE Presentation in Laos • Coach Future IEEE Leaders of R10
Nomination Subcommittee • Established in 2011 to assist increase of nominations from R10 to IEEE MGAB and other Boards’ Committees as well as IEEE Standing Committees (not nominations for R10 Director Elect nominees) • Chair: YJ Park • Members: Toshi Fukuda Janina Mazierska
REPORT: Nomination Subcommittee • IEEE Officers : • President-Elect/Secretary/Treasurer • IEEE Standing Committee • 12 committees (164 positions) • Major boards • EAB/TAB/PSPB/IEEE-SA/IEEE-USA • MGAB • 18 committees (168 positions)
REPORT: Nomination Subcommittee • Prepared a list of 40 members from R10, based on recommendation from Sections and Director/EXCOM • Nominated 35 members ( 7 members declined/ no response) • Results of R10 and non R10 Nominations: • 26 positions (MGA Committees), 15% of the whole positions • 18 positions (IEEE Standing Committees) - 10% • (excluding Fellow Committee and WIE is 6%)
PLAN FOR 2012 • Assist and advise Region 10 Director and Regional Committee and New Sections when and where needed • Face-to-face meeting • Increase Nominations and Success Rate for IEEE Boards and Committees • Promoting new Section/Subsection establishment in countries, where there is no IEEE OU.
