Middle School Sample x November 18, 2013 Reclassification x ELAC recommends that teachers of students that may be potentially eligible for reclassification, contact parents at least once per grading period to discuss the criteria, opportunities for intervention and how parents can help their child at home. Many eligible EL students are not being reclassified. Parents of ELs need to be informed about reclassification and understand how they can provide support at home.
