Status of ST1 • 9 tracking Quadrants (Q1 to Q9) of ST1 are now constructed till end of March • Gain homogeneity, Gas leakage, Mechanical tension on wires and Dark current are within defined standards • Only on one quadrant (Q2), mean mechanical tension on wires is two high (70g instead of 60g).About 2 wires are breaking per 6 months. The wires have to be changed and stretched at nominal tension of 60g IPNO-RDD-Jean Peyré
Status of ST1 • Quadrants are being equipped now with electronic exit boards before final mounting at CERN (waiting for MANU cards) IPNO-RDD-Jean Peyré

Assembly tests for mounting ST1/ST2 • The aim of this test is to study all problems related to the mounting of: • Rails • Supports for Station1 & Station2 • Hanging and positioning quadrants of Station 1 & Station2 • An other purpose is to imagine and realise the tools needed for achieving this job without electrical crane from cavern in a volume isolated from the cavern where only 2 or 3 persons can work at the same time IPNO-RDD-Jean Peyré

Special requirements for ST2 From 2nd to 12th of may, our colleagues from SINP came to Orsay to test the mounting of ST2. Here are our main commun conclusions: • Special care must be taken to verify the size of real chambers • SINP has to study and construct the tools for lifting quadrants of ST2 • Low Voltage Bus Bars are in contact with metallic supports and plateform of alignment systems. SINP has in charge the modification of the bus bars to avoid those problems • SINP has in charge the connection of gas tubes to the general gas system IPNO-RDD-Jean Peyré
