Geography is… • “the study of Earth and its peoples, places, and environments”
In other words… • How the Earth looks physically • Where you are located and the culture that comes along with it • How the different parts of the world work together
What is culture? • “the beliefs, customs, arts, etc., of a particular society, group, place, or time” • Example: how you dress, where you live, what you celebrate, religion • Example: Quest has its own culture – the knights (student drawn logo), blue & green, school uniforms

Natural Resources • “products of the Earth that people use to meet their needs” • Examples: solar and wind energy
Draw your “perfect” geography • Everyone will need a blank piece of paper and coloring utensils • Must be in color • Pick a city/state/area, google pictures, and draw your interpretation • Your drawing should include at least 2 geographical features we discussed • Label specifics (such as Pacific Ocean or Mt. Charleston) • Please don’t forget to include your name and period number (example: Ms. Bass, B2) • This assignment is due in class today Where would you LOVE to live?
