The Oscars. The evening activity for the farewell party. Theme. Campers will watch classic children’s fairy tales. This will serve as their inspiration to construct their own “movie set”, write their own script for their movie and create their own characters to star in the movie.

  1. The Oscars The evening activity for the farewell party

  2. Theme • Campers will watch classic children’s fairy tales. This will serve as their inspiration to construct their own “movie set”, write their own script for their movie and create their own characters to star in the movie. • Once the children have rehearsed and completed the activity, the teacher will film their movie. In the late afternoon campers have the chance to watch each others movies.

  6. Watch the camper’s movies

  7. Have a question and answer session • The students talk about the problems they had creating a movie from scratch • Talk about achievements • What would they do differently next time?

  8. Have an awards ceremony • Best female character • Best male character • Best set • Best movie

  9. Example Activity • In your tables • Chose a classic fairy tale (thai/western) • E.g. the 3 little pigs, the ugly duckling etc…. • Write a 2 minute script • You have 30 minutes
