Athena Issues and B-tagging Efficiency Monica Dunford continuing the work of Meena Narain
Athena Issues • From the CSC production experts • Athena version 12.0.31 is good for simulation and digitization • Athena version 12.0.5 should be used for reconstruction • Version 12.0.4 has been abandoned • Athena 12.0.5 will be ready next week • O. Jinnouchi “This statement is true regardless of which week you are asking”
The Current Issues Problem caused by large number of duplicate tracks from ftksim • Impact parameter distribution of WH->bb similar to WH->uu Plot from Meena’s July 2006 talk
The Current Issues • Meena applied several selection criteria to reduce the number of tracks • FTKsim duplicate track issues have since then been solved with Hit/Road Warriors
The Next Goals • With FTKsim Road warrior and upcoming 3-pixel layer and new training • Re-calculate the b-tagging efficiency of FTK • Hopefully without reliance on the selections cuts used by Meena
The Current Status • FTKsim in transitional state • Can’t use athena v12 or new training, 3-pixel layers, etc • Only have pattern banks from V10 • Using FTKsim version 0.7.1 • Athena v10 MC samples (generated by Meena) • Use Meena’s v10 MC samples but re-processed with FTKsim using roadwarrior • With Guido and Francesco’s help, this is up and running now
Next Steps • Finish re-processing of FTKsim on Meena’s samples using improved FTKsim version • Establish a procedure of determining the b-tagging efficiency that can be easily re-applied using new training and Athena v12
