  13. Student Participation • All students in grades 5, 7, and 9 must be administered the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) • Testing Window dates: • February 1, 2013 to May 16, 2013

  14. Students with Disabilities • Students with disabilities who are unable to take the entire PFT should be given as much of the test as conditions permit. • The IEP or Section 504 team is responsible for deciding how students with disabilities will participate in the PFT. (please talk to Spec. Ed teachers)

  15. Reporting Data/PFT Results All student results will be entered into Aeries Browser Interface (ABI). Demonstration of ABI

  16. Entry Codes for Students Not Tested Code 10 Absent on test date and all make-up sessions for all dates Code 13 Individualized Education Program (IEP)/Section 504 plan disabilities Code 14 Extraordinary circumstances Code 15 Medical Excuse

  17. Data Entry for Students Partially Tested Schools must provide all student data and test results for each fitness area the student tested. Leave the fields BLANK for tests that were not attempted. DO NOT FILL IN THE FIELDS WITH ZEROS.

  18. Data Entry for Students Partially Tested Reasons and Codes for incomplete data: Code 20 Absent on test date and all make up sessions for one or more tests. Code 23 IEP/504 Plan/Disabilities Code 24 Extraordinary Circumstances Code 25 Medical Excuse

Common Data Entry Errors Placing zeros in the wrong fields Data is outside the acceptable values from the state (see minimum and maximum scores on slide 12) Missing entry codes for students not tested or partially tested Missing data from students in SH classes Heart rate is missing for the Walk-test Data not entered by due date

Your Role and Responsibility Disseminate information to your team (includes SH teachers, 5th grade teachers, elementary PE Specialists, 7th grade PE teachers, 9th grade PE teachers, and all secondary teachers who use their elective course as Credit) Take this test seriously Watch the PFT Fitness Area videos Inform your administrator that you will begin the administration of PFT Keep in contact with Amy Grigsby ext. 8472 or agrigsby@rowland.k12.ca.us(Watch for error and warning reports through email) Are you the lead for PFT at your site? If yes-I will contact only you throughout the testing window. If no-Please leave the names of all contacts at your site.
