  2. What are the Characteristics of the Nations of South West Asia?

  3. What???? For the humanities PowerPoint assignment, we had to chose a country and fill out a template that Ms. Fletcher designed for us. It covered many categories such as Economy, Politics, Traditions, Geographic Features and much more. This was an individual project and we had to work VERY hard. We had about 2 weeks to work on this PowerPoint and were allowed to complete it at home and in school. My country was Lebanon and it was extremely hard finding the correct information needed for each slide. For example, it took me about two lessons to find information about Lebanon Politics. Since our Area of Interaction (AOI) for this unit was Global Awareness, we had to add three slides that explained why physical/social/economic/political are important to your country. Also, you had to explain in detail how it is related to Global Awareness. To end our PowerPoint, we had to collect our resources and create a bibliography in the MLA format, using the site www.citationmachine.net .

  4. So What???? I have decided to upload this project on my digital portfolio because it was an extremely important project and I have worked extremely hard on this. I have been traveling to Lebanon every year, so learning more about it’s culture, religion and history fascinated me. Also, I was able to get a lot of information from my father because he has traveled to Lebanon several times. In the end, after receiving my grade 30/34 (6/7), I was extremely proud. Hard work did pay off!

  5. Now What???? This project has tremendously changed my point of view about Lebanon today. It has been through major and harmful changes, but the Lebanese never gave up home. They would still go the malls, cinemas, restaurants and much more. I was really happy to hear that mostly everyone is happy and living a healthy life. Also, this project has important to me because I clearly understand the definition of “bias,” because I have read many reports that said Lebanon is a “dead” country. Today, I consider Lebanon my second home and will always be in my heart.
