  2. Day One: Monday, November 18, 2013 • Quiet Question: Type Two Prompt---Ms. Barben is going to read aloud the article below that compares and contrast Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden. You are to do Active Reading strategies as she does. • Prompt: Working with your partner--- Complete the T-Chart examining the Similarities and Differences between the two men. • Use are to use the information in the article and the information from your notes for the last two lessons. • THREE SIMILIARITIES AND THREE DIFFERENCES EXAMINED

  3. Day One: Monday, November 18, 2013 • Class: Ms. Barben is now going to do her Introduction to the Arab Spring Powerpoint Lecture and you are to take notes in the provided graphic organizer. • Homework: Work on notebook, Take Home Part of Upcoming Second Middle East Unit Test, and study guide.

Day Two: Tuesday, November 19, 2013 • Class: We are going to finish the Arab Spring Powerpoint and graphic organizer notes. • Class: We are going to begin to watch the PBS Documentary Revolution in Cairo: Go Inside The Muslim Brotherhood. You are to take notes in the provided graphic organizer. • Homework: Work on Take Home Short Answer, Study Guide and Unit Notebook.

Day Three: Wednesday, November 20, 2013 • Class: We are going to finish the Revolution in Cairo PBS Documentary. • Class: Ms. Barben is going to begin her Syria Powerpoint, and you are to take notes in the provided graphic organizer. • Homework: Work on Take Home Short Answer, Study Guide, and Notebook

Day Four: Thursday, November 20, 2013 • Class: Ms. Barben is going to finish her Syria Powerpoint, and you are to finish taking notes in the provided graphic organizer. • Class: We are going to watch the 60 Minutes interviews with Syrian President Bashar al Assad and President Obama on the use of chemical weapons attacks in the Syrian Civil War. Add to your notes.

  7. Day Four: Thursday, November 20, 2013 • Homework: Finish up Take Home Short Answer, Study Guide, and Unit Notebook…due tomorrow!
