Key Dates • 6/18/2006 PP Begin Date for 1st FY07 • 6/22/2006 run final payroll for FY06 • 6/23/2006 running one-shots/updates • 6/26/2006 begin processing again • 6/28/2006 run final adjustment payroll • 6/30/2006 run June Month-end and begin Fiscal Year End jobs through weekend
Correct FLSA codes • Miscoded FLSA need to be done now • 1363 FLSA changes need to be effective 6/18 • Agencies will need to update this via IPOPS
FLSA Executives • Salaried, but will still have an hourly rate of pay • SCO will programmatically update these employee types: • 6/18 Change Reason =MW, time sheet required = N, EAL and Overtime accrual indicators = N
FLSA Executives • Time Entry • Default = 80 hours system generated • Leave taken – need to code full time sheet in half days or more • Cost Distribution – can key override cost distribution, but cannot code more than 80 hours
FLSA Executives • Holiday – entitled to 10 paid holidays per year • Do not need to code HOL on time sheet • HOE – time taken for the alternative day off
FLSA Executives • Comp Time balances – continue to use CPT till 12/31/06 • Balances less than or equal to 240 will be forfeited at that time. • Employees with more than 240 hours – SCO will explain individually to those agencies.
FLSA Executives • No longer accrue EAL or On Call • EAL and On Call hour balances will remain available for use or payoff and will NOT be automatically forfeited.
FLSA Executives • New Leave Schedule – AG,BG,CG,DG • SCO programmatically will update these employees on 6/23 • Effective = 6/18 • Change reason = MW to the respective leave code
FLSA Admin, Prof, and Computer • New Leave Schedule – AP,BP,CP,DP • SCO programmatically will update these employees on 6/23 • Effective = 6/18 • Change reason = MW to the respective leave code
Shift Differential • Up to 25% • Y= 5% N=0% or not eligible • Update in IPOPS…..
Shift Differential • SFO (new earnings code) – may pay an additional lump sum amount to an employee for extra shift pay during PP • SFT – generated per the % indicated on the employee’s record as it does now for premium hours
Geographic Differential • GEO (new earnings code) – at this time, must be entered each pay period. • May code future pay periods. • May be coded using either One-time Lump Sum Other Earnings or Special Payment IPOPS actions.
Recruitment & Retention • REN (new earnings code) Retention • REC (new earnings code) Recruitment • No dollar limit • 6 months date check • Lump sum payments at this time
Exemplary Bonus • Limit changed from $1,000 to $2,000 • Same codes as previously • STC and STT
Cost Savings awards • 3 new earnings codes created • Transfer money up via 030 STARS transaction for DFM approval • CSB – personnel (already existed) • CST – T&B • CSC – Capitol • CSO - Operating
S1373 Organ Donation • DNO (new earnings code) will not reduce any leave balances • Up to agencies to monitor hours
H844 – Class Specific increase • CS (new change reason) – agencies may start keying these in IPOPS 6/5 • Because of timing you will only code the rate change, the new schedule grade will not be in place until 6/26 • Need to be in “Awaiting Release” status by morning of 6/23
New pay schedule • Class Codes • Employees • Programmatically changing • Classified class codes and employees • Non classified using classified class codes • NOT changing non classified class codes • Will work with DHR and agencies throughout the year
