Parent Involvement You are our most important partner! There are many ways for you to help your child be successful in school. These include: Talk to your child about his or her day at school Regularly read with your child. Grade 6 is not too old! Read information coming from the school Expect to see an agenda/class website updated every day and a Communication Folder brought home on Friday. Help your child establish and maintain a homework routine Have a regular bed-time routine and get enough sleep. Pack nutritious meals and make sure breakfast is eaten. If time is a concern, the Breakfast Club is an option. See that your child is punctual and attends school regularly. Set high but realistic expectations for your child’s academic achievement and behaviour. Communicate with the school when necessary.
