National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) www.afsusa.org/study-abroad/scholarships/nsli-y/ Fully funded scholarships sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Approximately 600 scholarships to learn Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Persian, Russian, and Turkish for a year or a summer. Fall Deadline (November)
Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Abroad Program 55 full scholarships through YES Abroad for students to study for up to one year in countries with significant Muslim populations, including Bosnia & Herzegovina, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mali, Morocco, Oman, South Africa, Thailand and Turkey.
