Mueller-Walle Method: analytical, from part to whole; sound categorized based on visible characteristics
Nitchie Method: analytic system, mirror practice
Kinzie Method: philosophical and psychological premise from Nitchie, and Mueller-Walle classification of sounds and order; first to develop for younger children
