  4. Importance to state / local officials • Resilient economic engine driving recovery • Employment, tax revenue, providers of basic needs, normalcy • April 2011 severe weather in AL, GA, MS and TN • 323,860 businesses potentially impacted • 1,547,652 employees and $168 billion in sales volume

Team synchronization: • Trade association coordination (finance, insurance, realty, . . .) • Insurance Industry Information Sharing Sessions • Safer AL Summit (industry partners and awareness) • University of AL built safe room display w/ Home Depot supplies • Long Term Housing and Recovery Expos
