IMT-Advanced update • The newly formed ITU-R WP5D met in Geneva at the end of January and early February 2008 • The Circular letter was not completed by SG5 during their February meeting. • This Circular letter is needed to firm up the dates that show when the RIT’s submissions are due. • 802.18 is creating a timeline by which the interested 802 wireless groups need to have their submissions approved for forwarding to the EC. IMT-Advanced • 802.16 presented 7 Liaison letters for forwarding to WP5D whose next meeting is in June 2008. • The liaison letters subjects will be on the 802.18 web site in the meeting-documents March 2008 Peter Murray, TMG, Inc.
Terrahertz Usage • At the September and January meetings the RR-TAG discussed the802.15 interest in the 275 - 3300 GHz band • A Liaison letter was written and passed to 802.15 for their approval at the midweek plenary. • The letter was approved in the RR-Tag and will be presented for approval at the EC meeting on Friday March 21.
