Archeology • Archeology-the scientific study of historic or prehistoric peoples and their cultures by analysis of their artifacts, inscriptions, monuments, and other remains.
Archeology • is the study of what happened before there was a written record that can be deciphered • There are records, but no one knows what they say • Evidenced based on: • Artifacts, bones, materials used, radiocarbon dating • Educated hypothesis
