Inspiration • Jessica was really our inspiration for this project • She is interested in playing with the idea of the audience “invading” her dance space • We played with the idea of moveable structures that Jessica could dance on and the audience would move around. We decided instead to go with a more passive invasion we felt the audience would be more likely to participate in.

  3. Concept • Dancer’s movements will be restricted by audience • Dancer has the ability to wipe the “screen” clean with sound if she becomes too restricted • Floor Projection • Outdoors? • Kids at play

  4. Aesthetics • The kinect/webcam will track the movements of the audience and trace a line from their entry point to their exit. • Once anchored, this line becomes a barrier to Jessica • If she crosses this line, there will be a consequence (i.e. alarm sound)

  5. Technical Method • Would like to use multiple kinects • Use Peizhao’s system • Bluetooth/infrared sensors?

  6. Timeline • Week 10 (Mar 25-29): • Proposal Presentation • Proposal Fine Tuning • Week 11 (Apr 1-5): • Pseudocode worked out • Week 12 (Apr 8-12): • Error-check, fine-tune coding • Week 13 (Apr 15-19): • Tech Rehearsal • Project Fine Tuning • Week 14 (Apr 22-26): • Final Show
