Commission proposal on 14 July 2004: 915 million euro European Parliament: 1.128 million euro Partial Political Agreement of Council of Ministers on 15 November 2005 (excluding budget) European Council: December 2005: expected reduction of YiA budget by -34-11% compared to Commission proposal. Interinstitutional Agreement between Commission, Council, Parliament in April 2006 – 885 million € ! Only little reduction compared to initial COM proposal. Commission’s revised YiA proposal in May 2006 Adoption on 25 October 2006 – right in time !!! Youth in Action 2007-2013

Dissemination of project examples and best practices as an important feature and obligation New structuring elements (thematic networking in Action 1, EVS project formats, financial support for dissemination, etc.) More systematic use of measures to increase project visibility, e.g. through media contacts, websites, COM/EAC/Youth logos (NEW as of 2007!)
