TAC 2/2 • Awards • Qualified nominees for the various paper awards continue to be solicited • M&C Service Award to be renamed in memory of Hal Sobol • Standards • ComSoc’s sponsored standardization projects assigned 1900 series numbers. • Current standardization efforts include: + Cognitive Radio & Advanced Spectrum Management + Broadband over Power Lines • Technical Committees • 20 TCs currently New technical areas being identified • Awards program honoring TC members successful and growing • TC unhappy with current M&C conference co-sponsorship policies
