Home Page • Site can be accessed directly at: https://armstrongresearch.hopkinsmedicine.org • Option to login on or browse many of the pages without logging in • The “Return to Armstrong Institute – Home” will take you back to the Armstrong Institute’s homepage • Clicking on VAP will take you to the VAP Project Home

  4. Project Home • Shows the components of the VAP project Takes you to page showing specific Tools and Resources for that component Quick access to the Science of Safety Video Takes you to page with recordings and slides from VAP Calls for that component Takes you to the data entry tools

  5. Tools & Resources • Shows the specific Tools and Resources for a specific component of VAP

  6. Educational Sessions • Shows the specific Recordings and Slides from calls on that specific VAP component

  7. My Projects • Shows all the available projects and will highlight the one(s) you are participating in • You will be prompted to login before accessing this page • Clicking on the project will take you to the VAP Project page

My Tools • Shows all your data entry tools • You will see multiple tools if you are associated with multiple networks (i.e. units or hospitals) • You will be prompted to login before accessing this page • Clicking on the tool will take you directly to the tool Tool Name Search Tools by Tool Name or by Network Name Network which Data will be Entered for

  9. Data Entry Tools • Shows all your data entry tools for VAP • Your access to a tool is determined by whether you are a member or an administrator. For example, only administrators will see the “Manage” button for HSOPS. • Tools which are still in development are indicated with a “Coming Soon” banner Network you are entering data. Ability to click on the network name will take you to the network.

  10. Networks • Networks represent an organization that is collecting. The organization can be a unit, hospital or health system. • Networks can be arranged in a hierarchy to reflect their organizational structure. Hierarchy is used to calculate aggregate measure values. • Within Networks there are users who are either members or administrators.

Networks Admins vs Members • Member’s Permissions • Enter data into the VAP tools • View reports from the VAP Daily Rounding Tool • Administrator’s Permissions • Administrators have all the functionality of members and can also: • Invite users to participate into the Network • View the Network Performance Monitor • Send out HSOPS invitations • View HSOPS reports • Members or Administrators can be part of many Networks • There can be multiple administrators within a Network • Users which will just be completing the HSOPS survey do not need to have a login to the system.

  12. User and Network Configuration • Networks and their hierarchy are configured by Armstrong Institute • Armstrong Institute then sends an email invitation to the administrator of the network

  13. User and Network Configuration • Administrators then can upload or enter email addresses to send invitations to other team members to join their network Select Role i.e. Member or Admin

  14. User and Network Configuration • Users will receive the invitation process with a link taking them directly into configuring their account

  15. My Networks View Networks • Shows all the Networks that you are associated with • Ability to search by name of Network

My Networks My Network Performance Reports available for download • Network Admins will see the measures from the VAP Daily Rounding Tool for each of the networks they are associated with • Ability to search for Measures by Name Test Network 1 Test Network 2 If Networks are in a hierarchy, you will have the ability to expand to see each Network’s rate Test Network 1 Test Network 2 Test Network 1 Test Network 2 Test Network 1

  17. My Networks My Reports • Allows you to run all reports from a single interface. Reports are also available within their specific data entry tool. • Tools, Networks and Reports are displayed based upon what you are associated with

  24. VAP Daily Rounding Reports • Now available within the VAP Daily Rounding tool or from the Networks ->Reports Page • Measures are grouped as Compliance, Contraindication or Supplemental

  28. VAP Daily Rounding Reports • Trending gives you a quick snap shot in how the measure rate has changed • Clicking View Chart opens a historical trend chart

VAP Daily Rounding Reports • Interactive chart that allows to selector your comparators, change your time period • Hovering over a data point will display your rate and the comparators configured • Ability to download a PDF version of the report Comparators turned on/off Print or download report Select time period

  30. VAP Daily Rounding Reports • Report will show the graph and the time period based upon what was selected on the graph when you ran the report • Data points are displayed below the graph in a table

  31. VAP Daily Rounding Reports • My Rate will show your performance rate as well as an indicator of whether “Higher is Better” or “Lower is Better” • Improvement Opportunities displays the number of events which if eliminated improve your measure value

VAP Daily Rounding Reports • Average Performance displays the mean for all the other participants in VAP. • By clicking Show within the Average Performance, you will see both the All VAP Participants average as well as participants in your State’s average. • My Percentile shows what percentile your rate is versus all other participants in VAP

  33. VAP Daily Rounding Reports • Ability to download both an Excel report or a PDF version of the report • The same reports are also accessible under My Networks->Reports Click to download the Excel or PDF version of the report

  39. HSOPS App • When Armstrong opens a new cycle for data collection for HSOPS, Network Administrators will receive an email

  40. HSOPS App • The Survey can be accessed in the HSOPS section, select Entry & Reports • - OR – • Click on My Tools

  41. HSOPS App • Network Administrators will have a Manage button next to HSOPS Networks administrators will see the Manage button

  42. HSOPS App • Administrators can Upload Responses from a survey that was completed outside of the system, or Send Email Invitations to participants • Administrators can track survey completions

  43. HSOPS App • When Upload Responses is selected, HSOPS results collected outside of the site in the AHRQ format can be uploaded using this interface:

  44. HSOPS App When Send Emails is selected, participants can be invited via email, by uploading a spreadsheet of email addresses, or typing the email addresses in the field.
