Sophomore Progression StandardsTo Enroll in Sophomore Business Courses • Must complete 5 of 6 BBA core courses • COB 191 (Statistics) • COB 204 (Computer Information Systems) • COB 218 (Legal Environment of Business) • ECON 201 (Micro-Economics) • GECON 200 (Macro-Economics) • MATH 205 (Calculus) • Must have at least a 2.500 JMU GPA
To Be Considered for Admission to the CoB & COB 300 • Minimum 2.800 JMU GPA • Completion of remaining BBA core courses (10 courses in all) • No more than 2 Ds, Fs, WFs, or combination of Ds, Fs, and WFs • Have completed 56-70 credit hours when beginning COB 300
Admission to the CoB is SELECTIVE • Application occurs at the end of the sophomore year • Some majors may impose higher standards
