Meredith-Lactose Intolerant • Lactose intolerants are people who get stomachaches when they consume products containing lactose (milk sugars) e.g. cheese • This is because they lack an enzyme called lactase that digests lactose. • Cooking for lactose intolerants must take care not to use dairy products in the food.
The Menu Breakfast + Lunch = Brunch: Scrambled Eggs & Ham on Toast Nice cup of Orange Juice Apple Tea: Jam Sandwich Dinner: Rice with side dishes
ScrambledEggs&HamonToast Needs: 1 egg, 1 piece of ham& 2 pieces of bread • Heat the pan to medium heat. • Crack 1 egg in. • Immediately, use the spatula to push all the egg into one clump. • Wait for about 1-2 seconds, then flip the egg over. • Wait for another 1-2 seconds, then scoop the egg out and serve. * Use the remaining heat to heat up the ham and the bread.
OrangeJuice Needs: 2 oranges • For the Orange Juice, take 2 oranges, peel them and juice them in a blender. Pour into glass, add some ice cubes and serve. Jam Sandwich Spread the jam thickly on two slices of bread.
RiceWithSideDishes Needs: 2 cups of veggies (CaiXin) ½ cup of uncooked rice, 1 egg 1 piece of ham Oyster Sauce Recipe on next slide…
Cook the rice with a rice cooker. • Stir-fry the vegetables in a little oil.Add some Oyster Sauce to use as gravy.Veggies are done - serve while hot. • Crack the eggs into a bowl. Cut the ham into small pieces and mix into the egg. Fry it in a little oil and fold it like the scrambled eggs. The ham omelette is done – serve as side. • When rice is ready, serve with Oyster SauceVeggie and HamOmelette.
