  1. Goals • I. Develop standardized training that builds upon the SafeLandUSA orientation program by convening a forum for industry and education partners to share in the development of the proposed Oil and Gas OSHA Outreach Program. • II. Partner education with industry to assess hazards by job tasks across all E&P business units. • III. Develop measurable learning objectives that are relevant to industry in maintaining a safe work environment. • IV. Be a resource for industry personnel by providing guidance in safety and health standards. • V. Prepare qualified instructors to include expectations of continuing education and ongoing assessment of their capacity to effectively teach safe workplace practices. Action Plan Develop levels of education and training to achieve worker proficiency I. SafeLandUSA Orientation II. Oil and Gas Standards course for field personnel and site supervisors III. Management/Leadership course for those with responsibilities for worksite safety compliance and reporting Each level of education and training will offer coursework to prepare competent workers based on the hazards that exists in the primary Oil and Gas E & P Job Families: Surface Preparation Drilling Production Servicing Pursue the development of a chapter of the National STEPS program for the Rocky Mountain Region NEXT Meeting November 3, 2011, Denver, Colorado Rocky Mountain Oil and Gas Outreach Program Development Leadership Ben Borcher, Marathon Paul Breaux, Assistant Director – Land Operations & HSE International Association of Drilling Contractors,IADC Grant Dawson, Halliburton Joseph R.
