Summative Assessment Calendar: 2012-2013 and Beyond • The 2012-2013 Summative EOG Assessments will be developed by NC • The 2014-2015 Summative Assessment for Reading and Math will be developed by the Smarter Balance Educational Consortium • The 2012-2013 Summative Assessment for Science will be developed by NC
Summative Assessment Calendar: 2012-2013 and Beyond • High School Summative Assessments • Algebra I (based on Math I Standards) • Biology EOC • English II EOC • 11th Graders take the ACT • The English 10 Writing Test may go away because there is a writing component on the ACT • The 2012-2013 Summative EOC Assessments will be developed by NC • The 2014-2015 Summative Assessment for Reading and Math will be developed by the Smarter Balance Educational Consortium • The 2012-2013 Summative Assessment for Biology will be developed by NC

Unpacking and Support Tools • Unpack the next two objectives in your curriculum. • Identify clusters and strands for your grade-levels standards in and the extended standards. • Quick Glance: ELA Appendix A & B • Content specific graphic organizer • New Support Tools on the ACRE website • Customized Topic Study
Between Session Activity • Using the new Standards that you will teach next year, create a visual that highlights the new content or new topics you will teach. • Create something that will be useful to you, your staff, and/or parents • If possible attach it to the graphic organizer page on the Science-unpacked wiki. • Check the ACRE site weekly for changes.
