  7. Don’t dismiss anyone as irrelevant.

  8. Don’t Be “That Guy/Girl” • Easy on the Drinks.. Know your limit ahead of time • Don’t participate in too many activities you haven’t tried before • Remember you’re not the coolest person in the room.

  9. Follow Up Quickly • Don’t Play Hard to Get • Key to maintaining a working relationship keep in touch • Examples: • “Nice to Meet you at the FSLC. I really enjoyed your presentation on Beryllium in the Workplace.” • FWD: Fall Protection for Mechanic Shops.. “I remembered when speaking to you at the FSLC you mentioned you were looking for something you mechanics could use while working on tractor trailers. Thought this maybe useful. Ciao”
