  2. Project goal (1/2) • to establish a tool which offers a multimedia content in effective and interesting way using a latest technology • to build an interactive television based on IP protocol with advanced functionality • to collect existing learning repositories and to create new ones • ...

Project goal (2/2) • to build distributed archive system of educational repositories in cooperation with content creators in different countries • to develop a concept of 24/7 television broadcast for educational purposes and also to develop“stand-alone” educational sources • automatic multimedia content processing

  4. Streaming • the IP television will implement the latest IP streaming technology • platform-independent solution • HDTV ready 1

  5. Interactivity • implementation of latest videoconference technology - instant communication within groups or classes • extend access for people with disabilities, elderly citizens, etc. 2

  6. Searching 3 • meta-data extension for advanced searching possibilities • multimodal fusion implementation

  7. R&D • new searching methods need to be developed – searching engine • automatic multimedia content processing • digital right management • multimodal fusion • Digital Objects

Partner profile sought Required expertise: • streaming technologies & videoconference systems • security & cryptography • building of distributed systems & multi-agent systems • automated video processing & video content creation • advanced searching technologies for digital audio-visual content

Partner profile sought The works to be carried out: • development and apply effective video & audio recognition and processing algorithms • metadata handling of web content related to audio & video files • development and apply innovative concepts of IPTV and video content retrieval • planned period: 3 years
