  2. Supersize me • Film maker – Morgan Spurlock. ‘ Why are Americans so fat?’ • His aim – for a whole month, breakfast, lunch and dinner, he had to eat Mcdonalds. He had to supersize if they offered, order one of every thing off the menu and not allowed to order water.

  3. Director • The main responsibility of the director is to come up with the overall vision for the documentary. • This should be decided at the preproduction stage. • It then needs to be translated into shot material. min

  4. Pre-production • Explore potential subjects • Research with a team • Develop strongest research and ideas • Share visions with production teams • Discuss proposed documentary style in terms of recorded visuals • Arrange locations

  5. Pre production of supersize me • They had to check his health before hand involving lots of tests. • Make sure they could use the same doctor to test him after. • Make sure they could film in Mcdonalds restaurants. • Arrange the shots they will be using.
