Extraordinary Launch Actions • Supplier Off site • Parts shipment before MRD • Prototype customer sign-off drive • On-line PCNs & Containment plans • Model year ’04 &’05 AIMS coordination • In addition to the static sign-off the “customer” of the vehicle will have a short drive for final sign-off with VE. 8
Van Born Warehouse • Hours of operation currently are 10 hours. (6 AM – 4:30 PM) Monday-Friday. • Weekends are dependent upon customer demand. • Holiday hours for Memorial Day are yet to be determined. CONTACTS 10

On-line PCN & Containment Plan Systemwww.containment.ford.com • VN127 MY05 builds starting with the AP4 build (4/14 MRD) have started to use the on-line system. • Provides a single on-line source for creating, approving, tracking PCNs and Containment Plans • Accessible on the Ford intranet • Provides cross attribute notification for Containment Plans • Provides a complete report out for any vehicle • Data mining – to track & access changes from build to build 12
Supplier Expectations • Enter delivery date into GPIRS,within 48 hrs of receiving order (If not DDL, contact William Oglesby with Date) • Ship the parts early (vs. delivering on MRD) • Confirm that you have received all PO’s required to support E-Series prototype builds and the correct quantity (if rate/flow enter Red Border) • Maintain delivery integrity, builds cannot be compromised. 13
Supplier Expectations • Red Borders should be submitted as early as possible. No Red Borders after June 2nd! • All suppliers that slip their promise date must report the issue at the daily Build Shortage Meeting (7:30 am at NMPDC) • Late deliveries will require an 8D report, and will be reviewed with management. 14
(AIMS 6 Day Release Process)Day 1 - 2 • Upon issue identification, screening & binning at Wall Meeting: • AIMS is issued with agreed upon design/process resolution with supplier, VO & PD. • Write & raise CR to ‘A’ status & submit process sheet if required. 15
Day 3 (AIMS 6 Day Release Process) • Resolution/CR with containment plan/AIMS review questions answered cost/timing to Change Control; • Authorization of CR; CAD Kick-off (Authorization is at agreed upon Not-To-Exceed piece cost/tooling amount. • Also, D&R Engineer must alert CBG buyer (in purchasing program management, EMILES/JGRUBB4) of approved concern #, scope of design change, affected part #'s/supplier(s)- D&R Engineer should also alert buyer if new part sourcing is required). 16
Day 4 – 5 & Day 6 (AIMS 6 Day Release Process) • (Day 4-5) • Report out on CAD progress; • drawings complete, into CAD and ready for release. • (Day 6) • Release – AIMS issue closed. 17
Day 7 - 8(AIMS 6 Day Release Process) • Design change only situations: • WIPS will automatically source the design new level to incumbent supplier. • Buyer will issue OK to proceed RFQ to Supplier. • New part situations: • Buyer will issue source only to new agreed upon supplier and will issue OK to proceed RFQ for future PO/TO issuance. 18
Day 9 – 10 & 11 (AIMS 6 Day Release Process) • (Day 9-10) • Supplier enter SPROM into DDL and issue alert is required. • (Day 11) • VO review and disposition alert. 19

CP Lock & Load • May 2nd – BoM frozen for June 2nd MRD builds / Any changes now will only be authorized in Change Control for NO-BUILD or Safety reasons and require signed containment plan. 22
Missed Commitments • First Day – Into night letter • Second Day – Immediate notification to Elaine Haas CNE and meeting scheduled. • Third Day – Report to D. Grandinett and W. Osborne 23
In Closing • Actual Ship dates must be provided for each build phase. • Suppliers providing early delivery of parts will not be penalized. • Missed Commitment dates are taken seriously and will be escaladed to management and will require an 8D. • No Design changes, with the exception of NO BUILD or SAFETY issues, will be accepted. • Your continued Support is Appreciated and Recognized. 24
