AR 600-20 allows each FRG to maintain one Informal Fund AccountInformal Funds are private funds generated by FRG members that are used to benefit the FRG membership as a wholeFRG Informal Funds may not be mixed with appropriated funds, MWR funds, the unit's cup and flower fund or any individual's personal funds.

    8. NEW YORK NATIONAL GUARD FAMILY PROGRAMS EIN stands for Employee Identification Number, this is NEEDED to open your FRG bank account. The easiest way to do it is to call the 800 number.     10. It is the responsibility of the Treasurer to maintain these records as they will be needed as reference when generating future reports for command and State Family Programs Office. This information is also needed to reconcile the bank statements that are received monthly. Transparency is the key to the FRG bank account. There is never a need to keep balances or transactions secret and all transactions taking place in the bank account should be readily available upon request of members of FRG, leadership team, MPOC, Commander, and so on.It is the responsibility of the Treasurer to maintain these records as they will be needed as reference when generating future reports for command and State Family Programs Office.
