  2. Facts about William Wegman: • Wegman has been using dogs in his artwork since the early 1970’s. • Wegman poses his dogs in his studio, often photographing them in costume or staged settings. • Wegman transforms his ordinary pets into canine supermodels. This is called anthropomorphism.

  3. What is anthropomorphism? • “Anthrop” comes from anthropology which is the study of human beings. • “Morph” is a verb that means to change or transform. SO... Anthropomorphism means giving animals (or objects) human traits.

  15. Photocollage When you combine photographs with other types of paper (photographs, construction paper, pictures from magazines, etc.), it’s called a photocollage. http://www.photographymuseum.com/finearf1.html

Your finished artwork should have 2-4 animals. • It should be at least 12”x18” in size. • It can be two-dimensional or three-dimensional. • You can use whatever type of media you would like (markers, watercolors, colored pencils, crayons, etc.), but it must be in color. • And don’t forget to come up with a creative and original title!
