  1. A Decade of too many Catastrophic EventsBy Imani Thomas Between the years 1999 and 2009 the world was plagued by many events that put the world at an argent need for peace, unity, and reforms. This chapter will discuss how America was effected by many terrible events and along with few positive events. The major events that happened during that time such as Hurricane Katrina and 9/11 not only affected The Gulf of Mexico or New York, but they affected the entire country.
