Telework Statistics • More than 65 % of teleworkers are employed by companies with fewer than 100 employees. • By 2008, 100 million people will work from home at least one day per month. • U.S. teleworkers work from an average of 3.4 different locations!

A program of the Department of Rail and Public Transportation • Provides two benefits to employers: • Assistance with developing or expanding a telework program • Financial incentives up to $35,000
Assistance with developing or expanding a telework program • Technical expertise • Development of telework policy • Employee selection criteria • Training (online and in person) for employees and managers
Financial Incentives up to $35,000 total *Lease costs
Eligibility Requirements • Private sector company or non-profit organization • At least 20 employees working at the participating site • Eligible, participating employees should telework an average of 1 or 2 days per week (6 days per month)
