  3. …and another dog before after I cropped first. Then I applied auto contrast and enhanced the shadows to make my dog’s white paw stand out against the dark background. Then I added text.

  4. Patio Furniture… before after I cropped to take out the unnecessary part of the picture. I made it black and white, enhanced the shadows, and warmed up the color temperature.

  5. …an Aspen Tree before after On this picture I applied auto contrast and let it be. Breathing on the lens made it have a soft focus.

  6. Mount Timpanogos… before after This is the view from by backyard, so first I had to crop. Then I filled the light, highlighted, enhanced the shadows, and warmed up the color temperature.

  7. …a bench before after I cropped and highlighted first. Then I added saturation to make the grass look greener and the rust on the bench have a more orange look to give it a more rustic feel.

  8. A Rose… before after All this picture need was some auto contrast and enhanced shadows to make the rose stand out from the background. Then I saturated it to make the pink really pop.

  9. …a scarecrow • Finally I made the temperature warmer to bring out the orange. • This was cropped first to get rid of most of the house and porch railing.   10. [the same scarecrow] • On this picture of the scarecrow I rotated it and then cropped. I straightened it, filled the light, highlighted, and enhanced the shadows. Then I applied the focal black and white effect to really hone in on the reds and oranges of the scarecrow, the bush, and the stones on the house.

  11. A Pumpkin… before after I cropped to take out the building on the left. Then I highlighted and enhanced the shadows. Finally I applied the graduated tint effect to make the pumpkin an unnatural but totally more noticeable shade of orange.

  12. …a branch • I cropped first. Then I filled the light, highlighted, enhanced the shadows, and adjusted the temperature. Lastly I added saturation to bring out the bright green in the leaves and the orange of the branch.

  14. My Little Sister… before after I took out the red-eye and used the retouch tool to get rid of the goose egg on her forehead (she bumped her head a couple days before this was taken). Then I applied the sepia effect.

  16. Homework… • This was rotated and cropped. Then I applied auto contrast and highlighted the image.
