  1. SETTORE KARATE RULES KATA OF FREE COMPOSITION

Eliminating race :Tokui kata • The Finals:free composition kata(creative) of which detailed description has to be consign to President of jury,just before of the start of proof,on pain of disqualification. Final for the 1°and 2° place,kata of free composition+Bunkai with Musik. Final for the 3° place,tokui kata + Bunkai

  3. In freecomposition kata,the gesture is free and multiform and has to make concrete through a motory polyvalent dynamism,where the original gesture of the martial art,recently acquired technics and acrobatic kicks actions melt,giving place to a noble formal expression by the specific characteristic.

  4. Therefore,the parts of Kata already codified aren’t admitted.The following capacities and abilities have to emerge from proof: a)Technics b)Kime c)Power d)Rhithm (general scansion,functional scansion,action-time) e)Expressivity f)Creativeness (originality on the composition of Kata) The proof lasts from 60’’ to 80’’ ;on pain disqualification.

The Kata has to have the following least contents,on pain of disqualification: -2 leg symmetric technics(rig-lef) also not consecutive on the sagittal plane(Maegeri o Kakatogeri); -2 leg symmetric technics(rig-lef) also not consecutive on the cross plane(Mawashigeri); -2 arm symmic technics(rig-lef) also not consecutive on the sagittal plane (Gyakutsuki); -2 arm symmetric technics (rig-lef) also not consecutive on the cross plane (Uraken); -2 acrobatic phases (phase of fall) with use of the kicks -4 projections(two to right and two to left) - varied blocksand at height. -The positions of guard are those codified by the styles. The technics in parenthesis are only examples.

  6. At this least contents all that technics are considered functional to exercise.

THE APPLICATION (BUNKAI) In the proofs of team’s kata,where there is the application.,the sequence of technics,before expressed in kata,has to be one of three components of team,having as an opponent the other two components. The proof consist in to express a realistic situation of fight and to keep an elevated precision and efficacy of technics. The application has to express to correctly the distance’s parameters, timing and efficacy of forwards and defences. It is consented to the athletes to adapt rhythm of the forwards or directions,to necessity of application,an condition that the application adheres to esecution before realized in the proof of syncrhronization. THE VALUATION OF CRITERIONS During the proof of application,the attention of Judge has to be orientated to check the realism of fight’s expressed situation (distance,choice of time,power,efficacy,exc….) and the quality of technics effected by three components of the team.
