Late Middle Ages/Islam • Islam becomes the religion of armies from Arabia • Began to conquer surrounding territories • Conquered much of Eastern Empire and parts of the West • Conquered Palestine, Syria, North Africa, parts of Spain Jewish, Christian and Islamic faiths believe the Holy Land belongs to them. There is still a conflict today of persecuting each other.
