Disastrous consequences of stress at work • According to research of the International Agency for Occupational Safety and Health ( NIOSH, 1996 ), stress at workplace is present for every third EU employee, 28% or 41,2 million people suffer stress, more women than men • Every year because of stress there is a loss of 1 million workplaces- at least 20 billion of euro • 50-60% of lost workdays are caused by the stress on workplace • Stress caused 5 million accidents at work, with severe consequences
