Moodle –the way forward • Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) • Offers opportunity to migrate current e-learning and cpd to a single structured environment • Conforms to industry standards (SCORM) • Software: Cost neutral • Technical support and hosting via HSW (HOWIS)

  8. Moodle (Course Management System) • Free Open Source software package • Designed around sound pedagogical principles • Enables educators to create effective learning communities

  9. Moodle 2006/07 • November 2006 • Presented concept of VLE e-learning at e-Learning Network event • December 2006 • HSW developed Moodle front end – NHS Wales Learning Academy prototype
