Create a part as shown. This will form the base of the Mug Tree. FILLET the part. Note: You will need to estimate sizes for this tutorial. It can be scaled later if required.
Extrude a circle from the base as shown. FILLET the top surface.
Draw two circles onto the XZ PLANE and extrude them (you will need to turn it on). Turn on the YZ PLANE and repeat this process. FILLET the ends.
Add a suitable material and then save your work. Finally, to complete the Mug Tree and Mug, put them together by starting an Assembly Drawing.
From the Assembly Panel, select PLACE COMPONENT. • Browse for the MUG TREE that you created earlier and • open it. • Note: You only need to insert it once. • Press escape to exit. • PLACE COMPONENT: The Mug that you created earlier. • You only need to place one mug. • Select CONSTRAINT from the Assembly Panel.
Select the TANGENT option and make sure it is toggled to inside. • Select the inside of the mug handle and then the outside of one of the branches • on the Mug Tree. • Click OK. Tangent Inside Note: You can also move and rotate parts manually by selecting them, right mouse clicking and then selecting COMPONENT.
