Analyze Trends • Do your complex issues & referrals outcomes “look right”? • Are they logical, based on your knowledge of work done by your SMP? • Are there drastic increases or decreases compared to last year? • If so, are you prepared to explain drastic increases or decreases to AoA, CMS, and the OIG? 7
