  6. Physical Characteristic: Serial • Serial Line • All lines optically isolated • Physical interface: RS485 4-wire, RS485 2-wire, RS232 • Protocols: ModbusRTU, POWERLOGIC (SY/MAX), ModbusASCII, Jbus • Baud: 2400–38400bps (RS485); 2400-57600bps (RS232 ASCII) • Parity: None, Even, & Odd • Response timeout: 0.1 to 10 seconds (default = 3 seconds) • Connector: • RS485 5 position plugable screw-terminal • RS232 RJ45 • Pinout: • RS232 Industry standard EIA561 for RJ45 • Note: EGX300 is internally connected: no need to physically connect the EGX300 for two wire mode.

  7. Physical Characteristic: Exterior RJ45 Ethernet port (IEEE802.3af) Control power (screw terminal connector) LED indicator for power & status Recessed reset button LED indicators for Ethernet and serial communications

  8. Physical Characteristic: Exterior RS485 serial port (screw terminal connector) Bias, Termination, and 2-wire / 4-wire jumper switches RS232 serial port (RJ45 connector)

  9. Transparent Ready {TRe} • Embedded web server provides real-time tabular data views for all supported device types • Single Device Basic Readings - Includes Analog Meters view with -Three-phase Current - Real, Reactive, and Apparent Power - Line-line phase Voltage - Line-neutral phase Voltage • Summary Device Views • Circuit Summary • Load Current Summary • Demand Current Summary • Power Summary • Energy Summary • Real-time Trending Graph view (multi-device, multi-topic) • Includes a running table of min/max/avg values • Includes a tabular view of trended data • Advanced users can create custom web views

  10. TRe: Setup • Ethernet & TCP/IP • Serial Port • Remote Device Connections • Device List • Device Logging • Device Log Export • Date and Time • SNMP Parameters • Modbus TCP/IP Filtering • Documentation Links • User Accounts • Web Page Access • Preferences

  11. TRe: Setup => Auto Discovery • EGX300 features the ability to “Auto Discover” devices in its daisy chain • The EGX300 will not find remote devices; the user will need to define a locate address and remote address • Look under the device list and scroll to the bottom of the page • The user needs to setup the right baud rate and settings for this ability to work. Press to Discover

  12. Note: Device List • Devices can either be manually entered or auto discovered. • You can manually enter a device and not have it present; however, you will not have a page created for the device until the device is connected. • There should not be a problem for communication because the EGX300 will not detect the device.

  13. TRe: Setup => Data Export • Users have four options • Disable • Export via FTP • Export via HTTP • Export via E-mail • Users will have to setup logging first before choosing either options • Uses can now only send “incremental” data versus ALL data with the EGX400 • Data can be push incrementally • For Equipment Plants, the option is usually disable by default.

  14. TRe: Monitor => Single Device Page • The EGX300 has the ability to display real time readings from devices. • The devices can be selected individually • All data displayed has been scaled and set at factory • Any unique requests will have to be done as a custom page • Analog Meter Display is Available

  15. TRe: Monitor => Summary Pages Summary Pages are standard with TRe level 2 support. Users can select ALL or individual pages to be displayed the summary pages. Pages to be displayed: • Circuit Summary • Load Current • Demand Current • Power • Energy

  16. Embedded web server provides user selectable topics per device Provides logging function to store data from serial devices on 5, 10,15, 20, 30, or 60 minute intervals Embedded web server provides a graphical view of stored data logs Provides Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to E-mail stored device data logs on user defined intervals Provides File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server to access device data logs Provides the ability to send data logs manually with the click of a button TRe: Monitoring => Logging

  17. Logging File: example.csv

  18. TRe: Monitoring => Real Time Trending • Real Time Trending with devices through web interface • Can choose multiple topics

  19. Monitor: Trend Plots through log files

  20. TRe: Monitoring => Custom Pages • EGX300 will allow users to transfer their own custom pages • Custom pages will allow users to have the flexibility to create their own custom solution

  21. TRe: Documentation • As part of TRe, users can transfer documentation or create documentation links • Users can store up to 512 Mb • The documentation can link to other devices that have web server capabilities

  22. Control • On the Control page, users can reset the values of their individual devices.

  23. Diagnostic • Users can: • Look at stats for the EGX300 • Read devices on this page • Check Communication Connection • The stats information will be used by design and tech support to analyze the system situation

  24. Diagnostic: Accumulative Connections • Users can click accumulative connections and displayed previous connections • This is valuable in terms of security to keep track of users who have logged on before.

  25. Maintenance Log • EGX300 provides the ability to record maintenance log files. • Typical users can record simple text information about system or challenges.

  26. Advance Features: Remote Connection • Under Remote Device Connection, users can setup logging remotely and access devices remotely

  27. Custom Logo Logo • Users can customize splash screen, logo, color, and favicon • Please refer to the white paper for detail specifications • This will allow Integrators to add more value for their services Splash Screen

  28. Viewable Device Type • Ability to hide un needed device type from the device list
