  2. (St. Augustine) Open up their eyes, O Lord, to behold You, and be amazed by the beauty of Your truth, to hasten to run and worship You.

  3. 1. I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh • ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,Your young men shall see visions,Your old men shall dream dreams. Acts 2:17

  4. Loving the truth..! • Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first,“ 2 Thes 2:1-3

Rejecting the love of the truth • The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thes 2:9-11

  6. Scoffer ... • knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 2 Pet 3:3,4

  7. Waiting the Lord... • The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.....12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God 2 Pet 3:9,12

  9. Love grows Cold • And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. Matt 24:4 • And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. V 12, 13

  10. the elect’s sake • And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. V 22
