Why are Goals Important? The Rotary Foundation is a large and successful international organization.Its many accomplishments are realized through the efforts of individual Rotarians, their clubs and districts.Our mission to achieve world understanding and peace is a lofty goal that can only be met through sustained action and the commitment of Rotarians.
Why are Goals Important? Each year the President of Rotary International chooses a theme as an embodiment of the intentions of Rotarian and the chair of the Rotary Foundation Trustees expresses the goal for the foundation.
Why are Goals Important? Goal setting helps us determine our priorities get organized, make big decisions, and realize our dreams.Clearly stated goals provide a framework for measuring achievement and can be modified by experience to reflect an organization’s accomplishments.
Why are Goals Important? The Rotary Foundation Trustees have set three goals that will direct our efforts in 2011-2012.The fulfill our Foundation’s mission of Doing Good in the world, we need the active participation and support of Rotarians worldwide as we Reach Within to Embrace Humanity.

2011-12 Foundation Goals 1. Eradicate polio, our top priority2. Build a sense of ownership of our Foundation among Rotarians through their contributions to the Annual Programs Fund, the Permanent Fund and our Rotary Peace Centers3. Continue our progress on the Future Vision plan and align our service projects with the six areas of focus: *Peace and conflict prevention/resolution *Disease prevention and treatment *Water and sanitation *Maternal and child health *Basic education and literacy *Economic an community development
Responsibilities - RRFC RRFCs serve as a key volunteer resource on all general Foundation matters, program and financial, and serve as a vital link between Rotarians and the Secretariat.In general, each regional Rotary Foundation coordinator shall be concerned with the promotion of The Rotary Foundation and its various programs, shall actively work in support of Rotary goals and shall be responsive to requests by the Trustees and the general secretary.
Responsibilities - ARRFC The Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator (ARRFC) is responsible for promoting and supporting the grant activities and fundraising efforts of The Rotary Foundation.Assistant RRFCs are appointed by the Trustee Chair in consultation with the RRFC, for a one-year term, renewable up to a maximum of three years.
Responsibilities - ARRFC The Assistant RRFC reports to the Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator (RRFC) and provides a communication link between district leadership (district governors, district governors-elect, assistant governors, district Rotary Foundation committee chairs, annual giving subcommittee chairs, and planned and major gifts subcommittee chairs), and Rotary Foundation staff. The assistant RRFCs are given spesific district responsibilities and assist the RRFC in all aspects of The Rotary Foundation.
Responsibilities - RFAC The overall goal for the Rotary Foundation Alumni Coordinators is to ensure that Rotary clubs and districts make Foundation alumni integral to Rotary; to urge clubs to consider alumni as potential Rotary club members and as potential contributors to The Rotary Foundation; and to use alumni as effective advocates for the programs of The Rotary Foundation.
Responsibilities - ZCC The Zone Challenge Coordinators provide additional leadership and foster fundraising activities at the district and club level toward the achievement of Rotary’s US$200 Million Challenge.The term of appointment for each Zone Challenge Coordinator shall be four years, subject to an annual performance review.
Responsibilities - ZCC The Zone Challenge Coordinator reports to a Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator and provides a communication link between Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation coordinators, district leadership (district governors, district governors-elect, assistant governors, district Rotary Foundation committee chairs, PolioPlus subcommittee chairs, Annual Giving subcommittee chairs, and Planned and Major Gifts subcommittee chairs), and Rotary Foundation staff for purposes of fundraising for Rotary’s US$200 Million Challenge.

What are the spesific goals for each of these four fundraising needs? Every Rotarian, Every Year, which raises money for the Annual Programs Fund, encourages every Rotarian to give something to The Rotary Foundation every year. Goal of US$100 per capita worldwide Rotary’s polio fundraising challenge is an important opportunity to fulfill our promise to eradicate polio. Goal of US$200 Million by 2012.
What are the specific goals for each of these four fundraising needs? The Trustees have set a goal of securing US$95 million for the Rotary Centers by 2015 to give long-term stability to the program. The Trustees have set a goal of raising US$1 billion for the Permanent Fund by 2025 (in net assets and expectancies).
What is the primary target audience for each fundraising priority? APF – SHARE: Every Rotarian, Every Year - 100% of membership through anual gifts - Rotary club contributions. Rotary’s 200 Million Challenge - Rotary Clubs, Rotary entities - Community (non-Rotarians) - Major Gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations (qualified prospects with a connection to the organization, commitment to the mission AND financial capacity.
What is the primary target audience for each fundraising priority? Rotary Centers for International Studies: - Major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations (qualified prospects with a connection to the organization, commitment to the mission AND financial capacity) - 360 major gifts needed - 5 solicitations for each gift received - 1,800 major gift prospects required - Focusing on 0.2% of all Rotarians
What is the primary target audience for each fundraising priority? Permanent Fund: - Every Rotarian and friends of Rotary who support the mission - 100% of membership (where culturally appropriate) for an estate gift; or outright gift of US$1,000 or more.
