Jennings Bryan tries to make imperialism an issue • McKinley chooses Teddy Roosevelt as VP • McKinely is assassinated less than one year after being re-elected • Shot at an expo in Buffalo NY by an anarchist • Secret Service charged with protecting all future presidents
